Delta Dental Q & A
Are you a provider of Delta Dental?
Our current relationship with Delta is changing. We will be considered an out of network provider as of February 2025.
Why the change?
Unfortunately, Delta fees for PPO providers have become so low that our office is losing money for the services we provide. Delta pays less than 50% of the actual cost on most procedures. We have attempted to work with Delta, yet they have refused to negotiate with us.
Will you still bill Delta?
Yes! We will still bill Delta as a courtesy. However, Delta will send their contribution of services directly to you. Payment for services will need to be made at the time of your appointment.
When does this take effect?
The official date is February 20, 2025. We will continue to honor Delta PPO fees until then.
Does my coverage change?
The benefit package that you have chosen to sign up for does not change. However, the contact as of February 20, 2025 will be between you and Delta.
Do I pay for services?
Delta will no longer send our office their portion of services rendered. Therefore, payment in full is expected at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made with the front office team.
** We accept standard forms of payment: cash, checks, and credit cards. We work with CareCredit and SunBit if you are in need of outside financing. **
If you choose to drop your existing coverage, we offer an in-house Membership Plan as well. The Membership Portal can be found under Financing Options.
I am in the middle of my treatment. What happens now?
We will honor the fees that were quoted for your treatment that is rendered before February 20, 2025.
Is there anything I need to do as a patient?
As a courtesy we will submit the claim, x-rays and documentation so that you can maximize your dental benefits. If you do not receive payment from Delta within 30 days, please let our office know so we can help you get reimbursement. We look forward to working with our patients who have Delta Dental Insurance.
What insurances do you accept? We work with all insurance companies that will work with us. Yet, we are considered an out of network provider.
